TUTORS IN REGGIO EMILIA

Homestay> MARIAGRAZIA

Teaching qualification
* Degree in Pedagogy and Psychology.
* a 30-year-old experience as Italian teacher in a Primary School.
* Italian teacher for foreign people.

Hobbies and interests
I have always been very interested in the relationship between children and visual arts, fascinated by the creativity and richness of their world.
In these last years I have carried out projects related to Modern Arts in the schools and, in particular, I participated in the accomplishment of a didactic project about the work of the artist Alberto Burri, leading and coordinating Primary School’s children and teachers.
Besides a deep interest for every form of artistic and creative expression, I like gardening and I projected and realized my own garden, beginning from a big, empty space. My garden continues to suggest new ideas and requires a lof of my free time. I also like cooking very much.
I like new projects and different experiences which allow me to be in contact with people, sharing with them the special space where I live.

Accomodation
I live in the countryside, in a big, old country house of the end of the 18th century. I renovated it trying to preserve its authenticity. I live at about 15 minutes by car from Reggio Emilia and half an hour from Parma.
Around my house there is a lot of green space and quietness. Here you can have beautiful walks and bike rides through the paths in the near fields.
I'm very close to the hills and to the castles located in the land that was once owned by Matilde di Canossa.

Homestay> SIMONA

Professional background
*High school diploma in foreign languages (English,French,German).
*Studies abroad: English language center in Brighton (where I used to live)
*Cambridge English First + Proficiency certificates.
*From 2007 Italian teacher for foreign students at Reggio Lingua.
*Group leader for Italian students (Great Britain)

Hobbies and interests
I like meeting people from all over the world as I'm very interested in comparing different cultures and traditions. I love cycling, living in the open air, travelling, going to the cinema and theater and enjoying most of the cultural activities in my town.

Accomodation
I live with my family (my husband and my two kids) in a very quiet area of Reggio Emilia very close to a beautiful park not far from the city center. Our house is a three floor building with garden and we usually host people either in a tiny independent flat on the ground floor and in one big apartment at the first floor.
