If you arrive by plane, the nearest airport to Reggio Emilia is in Bologna (at about 60 km). From the “G. Marconi” Airport in Bologna you have three options:

1. Take the train: the airport is 6 km away from Bologna’s station, one of the most important Italian railway junctions. From the station you can take the train to Reggio Emilia.

2. Rent a car: take the Motorway A1 to Milano and exit on to Reggio Emilia.

3. Take a taxi (tel. 051/372727; 051/534141)


You can also easily get to Reggio Emilia from the following airports:
1) Milano Linate. It is at 30 minutes away by bus from Milano Railway Station. The train takes about 2 hours to get to Reggio Emilia.

2) Milano Malpensa. It is at about 40 minutes away by train or 50 by bus to Milano Railway Station. The train takes about 2 hours to get to Reggio Emilia.

3) Verona. From the “Valerio Catullo” Airport, from 6.35 to 23.35 every 20’ there is a bus to Verona’s railway station from where you can take a train to Reggio Emilia or you can rent a car and take the Motorway A22 in Verona Nord towards Modena. In Campogalliano take the Motorway A1 to Milano and exit on to Reggio Emilia.
