Hobbies and Interests
I like listening to music and when I have some spare time, I go with my friends to the Regio Theatre in Parma because I love opera, especially Giuseppe Verdi’s music dramas. I am fond of reading and writing and in my bag there are always some books, a blue pen and a little notebook, because I like taking notes when I walk by. Cooking is another great passion. I like creating new dishes, even if I prefer the traditional dishes prepared by my mother ! I like spending my time with children, that’s why I usually organize creative workshops and I work with a friend of mine at some animated reading projects. Even if I like travelling and discovering new countries, most of all I love unspoilt nature, that’s why I decided, after spending some time abroad, to settle in Cozzano, where my family and many of my friends live. Everyday I go for a walk with my dog through the beautiful paths surrounding my village: this is the best way to relax and to stay fit ! I am a member of a reading club and my friends and I often organize cultural events in Parma and in the surroundings.

Accommodation
Our house has four floors. The first and the second floors, available for student guests, are two little independent flats. On the first floor: a dining room, a little kitchen, a bathroom and a twin bedroom. On the second floor: a dining room, a bathroom and a twin bedroom. We live on the ground floor.  My parents and my brother, whom I live with, like meeting new people. My mother is a very good cooker and prepares some typical dishes such as “cappelletti” and “tortelli”. She is always very happy when people eat a lot and appreciate her cooking !

Cities, excursions and attractions
Cozzano is a very small charming village in the Apennines Mountains. Cozzano is the ideal place for those people who are in search of silence, quietness, green countryside and beautiful landscapes. Our village is located at only ten minutes from Langhirano, a small town near the river Parma where most of the Parma Ham production is centred. Langhirano is full of factories where ham is made. It also has, as you can expect, a museum dedicated to the Parma Ham. Every first week of September the “Prosciutto di Parma Festival” takes place here: visitors can taste the typical dishes of this area and visit the ham factories.  Around Parma there are plenty of interesting places to visit, such as Busseto, the village where the famous Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi was born, the medieval village of Calestano, where the National Fair of the Truffle of Fragno takes place every autumn, and the impressive castle of Torrechiara, not far from Langhirano.
