ITALIAN LANGUAGE CLASSESPreparation for the CELI examsReggio Lingua is one of the exam centers for CELI (Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language) and it is authorized by the University for Foreigners in Perugia. At Reggio Lingua is, therefore, possible to enrol to exams of all the levels based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages by the Council of Europe and recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The CELI exams are given three times a year: in March, June and November, in all parts of the world simultaneously, according to the following calendar 2019. CELI: What is it and what is it for? CELI (Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language) is the official examination of proficiency in Italian as a foreign language. The CELI certification is divided into six levels (from A1 to C2) based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages by the Council of Europe and recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is given at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia (University for Foreigners in Perugia). Each level measures the student’s ability to communicate in a variety of situations and contexts. The CELI certification is for students of Italian wishing simply to measure their proficiency, persons needing to prove competency in Italian for employment opportunities, or for foreign students wishing to enroll in an Italian university. Reggio Lingua preparatory courses for the exams The courses use practice tests (from previous years) to simulate real examinations at the test centers. In the courses, you will have practice in all the major linguistic and communicative proficiency areas: - listening - reading comprehension - written communication - speaking - knowledge of the Italian language and its structure.
