Study Abroad in Reggio Emilia - Early Childhood Education, Clemson University

Since the beginning of my time at Clemson, I have been interested in studying abroad. So when I saw a flyer about this trip to Italy in Tillman Hall, which was designed for education students, I was interested right away! Starting my freshman year, I attended the informational meetings to learn more about the trip from the professors who were leading it, and finally, junior year, I was ready to apply! Getting to go to Italy with a group of twenty education majors and three professors bonded us and we truly left the trip as a family. Not only did we get to experience living with families in Reggio Emilia, Italy, but also got to travel to Florence and Cinque Terre, as well as other towns all in less than a month! Having the opportunity to visit several schools who use the Reggio approach to education as well as teaching a lesson to Italian students was truly a once in a lifetime experience. On top of every other amazing part of the trip, getting to meet so many amazing girls and form relationships with our professors was truly so special, I am so grateful fo it!
