Study Abroad in Reggio Emilia - Early Childhood Education, Clemson University

During my sophomore year, I got to study abroad in Italy and go to Reggio Emilia and that was wonderful to participate in the program organized by the Reggio Lingua school. A lot of the information and the knowledge and insights that I gained through that experience are now applicable as I teach kindergarten. When I moved from first grade to kindergarten, I was surprised by how often I got the opportunity to actually implement some of the things we were exposed to in Italy in my own classroom. I recognized how impactful that experience was for me when trying to integrate some different approaches as I changed grade levels.
