イタリアへようこそ!
Welcome to Italy!
From mid-June to mid-September
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Japanese Language and Civilization (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice)
- Master in Cultural Pluralism (University of Florence)
- Certification in Teaching Italian to Foreigners (DITALS I, first level, University of Siena)
I love reading, and that’s why for over 10 years I have been working as a professional Editor of books for both private citizens and publishing houses. Before starting my work as an editor I did several jobs in the social sector, as an educator in communities with foreign minors and as an operator at CEIS (a well-known solidarity center here in Reggio Emilia).
I worked as a translator of texts from English to Italian, and I taught Italian to foreigners both online and at private language schools.
I love studying languages because they are the first step to get closer to and understand others and their culture and to open ourselves to diversity.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
Travelling, studying Japanese, walking in nature, listening to music, partying with friends, sewing, having new experiences...
ACCOMMODATION AND SURROUNDING AREA
I live in the hills of Reggio Emilia, in a small village surrounded by nature, called Ca’ Bertacchi. Here you can take long walks in the countryside and relax enjoying the beauty of the place.
Your days here with us will be divided between two places: the house where you will sleep and where we will have classes, which is a typical stone house, in a small village nearby, with a bedroom with private bathroom, kitchen and living room at your complete disposal (where you can enjoy your privacy), and a house where we will have lunch and dinner together, chat, cook typical dishes, listen to music, watch films and cuddle, if you want, the dogs and cats of the neighborhood!
EXCURSIONS AND LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
You can reach the city of Reggio Emilia in about 20-25 minutes by car and explore the center, with many places of cultural, artistic and enogastronomic interest. Or you can choose to go the opposite direction, towards the Apennines, and go hiking on the many paths of our beautiful mountains.
In the surroundings of the city there are also many sites of historical interest, such as the castle of Canossa, or the castle of Rossena, and much more!
In Reggio Emilia there is a high-speed station, connected to all the major tourist cities (Milan, Bologna, Turin, Venice, Florence, Rome etc.).
I’m looking forward to meeting you and having fun together!
