We would like to thank Daniela of Reggio Lingua for providing an outstanding opportunity for our early childhood students from Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU), University Center, MI, USA. We were fortunate to visit two preschool programs in Reggio Emilia, which provided an excellent hands-on experience for our students. Seeing the “Reggio” approach in action truly impacted our students’ thinking and ability to implement these practices in their own classrooms. In addition to visiting school programs, our students were able to experience some Italian culture by visiting a Parmigiano-Reggiano (Parmesan cheese) Factory, participating in an Italian cooking class, and seeing how balsamic vinegar is made. All of our arrangements were handled through Reggio Lingua. Without a doubt, everything was perfectly arranged making our stay in Reggio Emilia a fantastic experience. We would highly recommend other Reggio Lingua programs to help support and assist with study abroad experiences. We are considering an Italian language course for our next visit.
