Corso di cucina e visita ai produttori alimentari locali

We highly recommend working with Daniela and Paola at Reggio Lingua who arranged a culinary tour prior to a cruise out of Venice in July of 2013.

Since we are foodies and one of us is a cooking school teacher, we couldn’t come near the Emilia-Romagna region without sampling the fantastic cuisine of the area and its signature food products: Parmigiano-Reggiano, Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale, and Prosciutto di Parma. Reggio Lingua worked with us via email to customize just what we wanted. Reggio Emilia is a quick drive from Venice and Daniela and Paola had everything in place as discussed.

Reggio Lingua teamed with a local agriturismo as a base of operations where we had daily breakfasts straight off the farm and the surrounding area. They arranged a cooking lesson at the agriturismo with a local chef and a visit to the farms cheese factory as the ricotta was being pressed and Parmigiano-Reggiano was being produced.

They have high quality contacts outside the area and suggestions where to eat. We toured a great balsamic and wine producer and a prosciutto factory high in the hills. Throughout the visit, the Reggio Lingua team checked up on us to ensure a smooth experience.

We capped of the trip with a visit to see the amazing mosaics in Ravenna on the way back to Venice. The cruise was great but the food tour of this region was a highlight. We saved money vs. high-end tours and got something of equal quality but far more personalized and memorable.

Thanks again to Daniela and Paola!
