Corso homestay di lingua italiana a Reggio Emilia

Last year a friend and I had a homestay visit through the language school in Reggio Emiglia with Giorgia, one of the tutors, and her family for nearly a week. Paola at the school was most helpful and patient in facilitating this. Our accommodation with the family was extremely comfortable, in a two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of their house. We ate our meals with the family and were treated to the most amazing array of Italian dishes and particularly the specialties of the region. Mealtimes were memorable not only for the wonderful food but also for practicing our Italian where we covered many topics of interesting conversation while stretching our vocabulary to its limit! Georgia was an excellent teacher, not only in our daily lessons but also with her gentle corrections in the course of conversation. We were also taken on excursions with the school to a Reggiano Parmigiana cheese factory and a Balsamic Vinegar distillery. All in all it was a truly rewarding experience and Jane and I coud not recommend our particular homestay or the Language School more highly.
